Resistance band exercises

Resistance band exercises

Want to tone up your body and don't know where to look to find out the best way? then keep reading

You will need

*Resistance Band
*Water
*Comfy clothes ( Sports bras/ tank tee, shorts etc..)
*Headphones/Music ( Optional)

A must have is comfy clothing while doing any exercises, you don't want to exercise in skinny jeans or with a wired bra which will dig in to you the whole time while working out. You can buy any sports wear these days they are all pretty much practical, stylish, and also comfy!.
I do own a quite a few different sports wear such as sports bras, lose tee's, shorts and also tracksuit bottoms, my favourite is sports bra with a pair of shorts, if I'm a bit chilly before I work out I do wear a lose tee on top of my sports bra.

Resistance bands are so in-expensive  and you can do so much with them!
These are my 3 favourite exercises with the band..

1)Shoulder press -  Place the resistance band under both of your feet, stand straight with your arms bent and by your sides. Without lifting your shoulders, slowly raise your arms above your head until they come together

2)Shoulder press with lunge - This exercise you first put one foot forwards then  place the resistance band under that foot and hold on to both ends of the band. As you bend your legs to drop into a lunge, straighten your arms  as high as feels comfortable. Slowly return to the starting position and repeat. You will feel the pressure on your legs so you will know when your finished.

3 Bicep curl - Stand up with your  feet wide apart, place the resistance band under both feet. Hold the band with arms straight and by your sides. Slowly bend from the elbow, raising your hands with the band to your shoulders, keeping your elbows tucked in. Slowly lower the band down and repeat. Keep doing this till you feel so like you can't do anymore.

There's a few of my favourite exercises with the band, it's always best to have a bottle of water near you so you won't de-hydrate. If you doing these exercise's for over half an hour or even for an hour you should give yourself a few breaks and just have a breather and a few sips of water to keep you hydrated.

While doing these exercises you could also listen to music to make you feel up to it and it will keep you in beat with what your doing. There's a lot of beat/ exercise music out there so check some out.

I hope you have picked something you would love to try out, I will be doing a lot more of these kind of blogs soon and tell you what my next favourite exercise is next time. Thanks for reading, keep checking for more blogs to come,
